The Nortons in Madagascar

The Nortons in Madagascar

I wanted to make my friends aware of a major prayer and mission partnership opportunity. My brother Smooth and I, during our time at North Greenville College, had the privilege of getting to know Tim Norton, a passionate follower of Jesus. Years later, we all three enrolled in seminary together and our families became even closer friends during those years. Now, Tim and his wife Anna are missionaries to the Tanala people in the country of Madagascar. Lately, Tim and I have been emailing a good bit as he  keeps me updated with the work that they are doing. Among the daily responsibilities of learning a new language, studying the culture, and discipling and baptizing new believers, he is also in the process of putting together a Pictorial Gospel Booklet as a simple, yet practical tool for sharing the Gospel with children. I know he would appreciate your prayers in that endeavor.

I would encourage you and your family to make the the Nortons a regular part of your family and personal prayer time. They are feeling a little secluded and cut off from the outside world, wondering if friends back home are remembering to lift them up in prayer. Sometimes “out of sight, out of mind” is often too true of an experience for missionary families serving in the distant remote parts of the globe. So, I would encourage you to stay connected with them. They update their blog regularly at nortons2mada.com. Drop them encouraging comments and emails. Pray for their specific needs. It will mean the world to them.
