A 3-year old Prayer

Andrew, at the risk of sounding cheesy and overly sentimental, I wanted to share something with you that you and everyone else might like to hear. I was reading back through one of my old prayer journals today and found something interesting. On June 2, 2004 I was praying for you as you were finishing up your time at Furman. I prayed,

“God, I lift up Andrew who is being fed all of this German liberalism as if it were fact and as if the Bible was just like any other book – full of mistakes and errors. Give him an extra special sense of your presence that he might truly know and understand what he believes – keep him strong in his faith in the midst of such garbage.”

Well, you came through buddy. You’re an awesome man of God, Andrew, and I love you and respect you and look up to you more than you’ll know.
