Heads Held High
“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians; I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with heads held high.”
Leviticus 26:13
Don’t forget what’s happened to you. If you’re a child of God, you were once bound in the chains of sin. You were behind bars. You bore an unbelievably heavy yoke. You were a slave–an enemy of God. But God, in His great love and rich mercy, made you alive together with Christ. He broke the bars of your burden. He broke the chains. And He has enabled you to walk with your head held high.
Don’t forget where you came from. You were once in darkness. But now you walk in the glorious light of Christ. You were once a slave. Now you’re free.
So, walk today with your head held high. And let the way you walk be a testimony to this glorious Gospel and this saving God that has released you and set you free.
