Retirement Party

Retirement Party

No, Andrew and I are not retiring from anything. Tonight we went to a retirement party for my advisor from UCF, Dr. Mary Palmer. She has been involved in fine arts in Florida for over 30 years, so there were a lot of artsy people in the room. The hosts of the party requested that “all toasts be made in song,” so we had some interesting toasts. Some people sang “It’s a Jolly Holiday with Mary,” a revised version of “Mary had a little lamb,” and one group even used hand puppets in their song. It’s amazing what happens when you put too many music teachers in the same time. But we had a great time visiting with some of my classmates and with another girl that I knew from the Bach choir.

PS: Our Thanksmas list will be up tomorrow.
