Speak My Words, Whether They Hear or Refuse
“And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 2:7
At the very beginning of Ezekiel’s call, the Lord reminded him of one simple fact: His job was simply to deliver the message. Whether God’s people chose to respond in obedience or not was up to them. But Ezekiel’s job was simply to obey the Lord by proclaiming exactly what He said. And the weight of this responsibility was enormous. In chapter three, God tells Ezekiel that if he fails to warn the sinner of his ways, his blood will be on his hands. That’s strong.
The weightiness of this call is not simply reserved for Ezekiel’s day. It’s true today as well.
In a very real sense, we are God’s mouthpiece. And how we choose to respond to His call is up to us. Our job? Communicate the truth of the Gospel. Not our job? How people respond.
Speak the truth. Speak it in love. And trust the results to God.

You have no idea how this has ministered to me today. I am in the middle of a battle in which God has called me to fight. Those on the other side are not hearing me yet I know this what I am supposed to do. Thank you for sharing your heart. It touched me deeply today.
So true, Josh and very convicting!
