Four Corners – Newnan, GA

This past weekend, we traveled to Newnan, GA, just south of Atlanta to visit some old college buddies.  My buddy Alex Early, one of my best friends in the whole world, turned 30 last week, so we, along with Smooth and Kelly and the Polk’s (more college friends), decided to surprise Alex.  We hadn’t seen him or his wife, Jana, in over 5 years.  Events lined up perfectly for us to be able to go visit them.  Check out Tasha’s blog for more on the trip itself here.

About 18 months ago, Alex and Jana planted Four Corners Church in Newnan … in a bar.  Yep. That’s right.  In one of the most devoid places of the Gospel, Alex planted a church to be a beacon of light and hope for his community.  In under 2 years, Four Corners Church is running around 200 people and has already moved to two services. Alex and his team are doing an incredible job of reaching those far from God–the hard-to-reach souls that no one else is reaching.  We had the privilege of worshiping with them on Sunday and getting to experience the amazing things that God is doing through this Gospel community.  Check out these pics.  And check out Alex’s sermons through the Gospel of Mark at www.fourcornersnewnan.org.
